I understand the whole point of the fediverse is decentralization, however I think more than enough Mastodon and alike instances already exist. There's two sides of a coin here: The experience for yourself, and the experience for others.

For general posting ("Tweet" style), I don't understand why you would need more that one general instance. Would you post to one more than the other, or both simultaneously? Which one should people follow?
As outlined in this article, you could unintentionally invite yourself to get DDoS'ed by other instances.
